OD Expert Group launches its policy proposals for the OMP Revision in a workshop in Parliament – FULL REPORT

On March 22, in a workshop in the European Parliament hosted by MEP Weiss, the OD Expert Group presented its Policy Proposals for the revision of the OMP Regulation. Thanks to everyone who participated in the event, whether live or remotely . 

The OD Expert Group believes in the vision of building a resilient ecosystem for rare diseases, with a regulatory framework capable of addressing the needs of people with rare diseases and stimulating innovation. The upcoming revision of the EU legislative framework represents an incredible opportunity for changing the lives of the 30+ million people living with rare and ultra-rare conditions in Europe, and to ensure the EU is at the forefront of innovation and research. 

Our Report, encompassing the proposals we developed in two years of intense collaboration, is finally out. We are honoured to contribute to the public debate on the future of rare disease in Europe.
